Gower College Swansea

We offer almost 40 A Level subjects and 40 vocational subject choices at a range of levels up to and including Higher Education, that match our students’ existing knowledge and skills levels. This is coupled with one of the strongest reputations for high quality teaching and learning, not just in Swansea but across the whole of Wales.

We have over 4,500 full time and 10,000 part time learners from across Swansea and the neighbouring counties. We operate from locations across Swansea including campuses at Tycoch, Sketty, Gorseinon, Uplands and Fforestfach.

We have recently opened a bespoke University Centre at the Tycoch campus. This is specially designed for students on higher level courses and comprises six new classrooms, a library and common room area.

We offer Degrees, Foundation Degrees, Higher National Certificates (HNC), Higher National Diplomas(HND), Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) and professional qualifications – with many of our courses validated by the leading higher education institutions in Wales.

Our new Sketty Hall Business School is home to a wide range of professional and executive education provision. This includes accredited and bespoke business and management courses i.e. accountancy, leadership, digital and health and safety, HE qualifications, apprenticeships, and degree apprenticeships – delivered for businesses by Gower College Swansea’s industry experts.

In 2021, we were shortlisted for three TES FE Awards in the following categories: Apprenticeship Programme of the Year; Support for Learners; and WorldSkills Hero. One of our excellent A Level lecturers is also in the running for the title of FE Lecturer of the Year in the prestigious Pearson National Teaching Awards.
