We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, dedicated and innovative teacher to join our Special Needs Resource Base (SNRB) department at Abersychan School. We are looking for an exceptional primary or secondary trained teacher who can help our children to fulfil their potential and then flourish in adult life. You do not necessarily require experience of teaching at a special school; we welcome and support teachers looking to transfer from mainstream. We also welcome applications from PGCE students / NQTs. Our 45 students in the SNRB have a range of complex learning difficulties, including speech and language difficulties, and autism. You will be joining a team that consists of a middle leader, 2 teachers, 1 higher level teaching assistant and 6 teaching assistants. Our stage not age approach supports all of our students to make strong progress and our SNRB staff work extremely well to coordinate this provision as a team.
If you are excited by the prospect of playing a significant role in helping us achieve our ambitions, have a belief that all students, no matter what their background or ability, can achieve and have a passion for providing an outstanding education, then, we would love to hear from you! In return, we will guarantee you the very best level of support.
