Pembrokeshire College is seeking a dynamic Junior Information Systems Developer to join our innovative Development Team. In this role, you'll learn from and collaborate closely with experienced colleagues to design, build, and support cutting-edge applications that will enhance user experience and streamline processes.

Salary Details: Scale: BS22-25 (£26,832 - £29,054 pro rata)
This is a 3-point extended scale with progression incrementally on an annual basis. Commencing salaries will be assessed in accordance with the College's starting salaries matrix.
Hours of work: Full time -37 hours per week
Holiday Entitlement: 28 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays per year (increasing to 32 days for 5 years + service) plus statutory bank holidays & college efficiency closures
Contract Type: Salaried - Permanent
Qualifications: A relevant level 3 qualification in Computing or equivalent professional qualification is essential.
It is highly desirable to hold a relevant level 4 qualification or above. If not held, it is essential to undertake and achieve this within an agreed timescale.
You will collaborate with the Development Team to enhance the user experience through application development, process efficiencies, and automation. Th key responsibilities include analysing and optimising business processes, developing applications using various programming languages and frameworks, and providing first-line support for the Student Management Information System (EBS).
You will have a good understanding of business processes, including workflows, activities, tasks, subprocesses, and decision points. You will have a basic proficiency in creating process diagrams and models, foundational knowledge of programming concepts, and familiarity with APIs and web services. You will have an analytical mind, strong problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail. You will be eager to learn and expand your knowledge through self-study, training programs, and on-the-job experience.
