Llantilio Pertholey Primary School are seeking to employ an enthusiastic, flexible, and committed Support Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team.

The Purpose of this Role:-

Expectation and Outcomes of this Role:-
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an effective, friendly and organised approach to a wide range of administrative tasks and duties. Knowledge and active use of school management systems such as SIMS and Parent Pay would be an advantage. You will need to demonstrate the ability to work supportively and effectively in a team, as well as innovatively and independently. Experience of working in school administration would be an advantage, though training can be provided.

Your responsibilities are to:-

Organisation
• Undertake reception duties to include answering routine telephone, face-to-face and email enquiries and signing in visitors, and signing in and out pupils.
• Assist with pupil first aid/welfare duties, looking after sick pupils, liaising with parents and staff.
• Assisting with arrangements for visits to the school by professionals including: health and social workers, school photographer and buildings contractors.

Administration
• Provide routine and general administrative support to all staff by sorting post and supplies, typing letters, photocopying, filing, e-mailing, and completing routine forms.
• Maintain the school data management system (SIMS) to ensure that all data is up to date: to include inputting new data at the onset of the academic year, undertaking first day response procedures for registration and printing reports.
• Update and monitor the cashless payment system (ParentPay) to ensure that all payments have been made for services and trips, liaising with the School Administrator with regards to chasing debts.
• Be responsible for ensuring that the school communication system (Schoop) is updated and used to its full potential so that all parents are kept informed of activities.
• Manage the school diary in liaison with the Head Teacher.
• Comply with Audit Control requirements and checks.
