About the role
We are looking to recruit a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our ALN Sensory Service Team on a permanent, full-time (term-time only) basis, to be based in the specialist hearing resource provision.
About the role
On a day-to-day basis, the successful candidate will be required to support access to learning for pupils with severe/profound/special educational/behavioural needs, including the provision of specific medical assistance in and out of the classroom and in a resource provision. They will offer support and guidance to, and work with Ceredigion schools to assist with transition of pupils between primary and secondary school settings.

- can supervise and provide support to pupils, either individually or in groups, in meaningful learning activities ensuring their safety and access to learning
- can attend to pupil's personal and physical needs
- can assist with planning and delivery of specific learning activities in a variety of situations such as in the classroom, small group settings or on a one-to-one
- can use strategies to support pupils to achieve learning goals
- can establish constructive relationships and communicate with other agencies/professionals to support pupil achievement and progress
- can supervise pupils on visits, trips and out of school activities as required having regard for the health safety and wellbeing of pupils, other staff and the general public
- has the ability to self-evaluate their own learning needs to strive to seek out learning opportunities
- has good numeracy/literacy skills
- can work constructively and flexibly as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these
